Willy Chertman, M.D.
Willy Chertman is an adjunct fellow at the Manhattan Institute and a resident physician in internal medicine at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Prior to his residency, he worked on biosecurity policy at the Institute for Progress. Chertman also worked at the genetics and reproductive medicine startup Orchid, and on advocacy around vaccine development with 1Day Sooner. His research interests include medical innovation, biosecurity, and research regulation. In addition to his published scholarly work, Chertman’s writing has appeared in City Journal and National Review.
Chertman holds an M.D. and M.S. in Genomic Medicine from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and he received his B.S. in Biology and Political Science from the University of Miami.
