Matthew Shor

Matthew Shor is Director of Public Opinion at the Manhattan Institute, where he manages survey insights, qualitative research, and political analysis projects. Matthew brings extensive expertise in American electoral politics and mass political behavior. He was an affiliate of the Elections Research Center at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a member of Decision Desk HQ’s 2020 race call team, and his peer-reviewed research on election forecasting has previously been published in the Harvard Data Science Review.

 

Prior to joining the Manhattan Institute, Matthew was the Analytics Director at a large, bipartisan super PAC focused on congressional campaigns. He also has previously served as a Data Scientist with Decision Desk HQ and as a Data Science Fellow for a boutique analytics firm, deploying a wide range of technical tools to provide deliverables for political and commercial clients.

 

Matthew earned his Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with concentrations in American Politics and Political Methodology, and graduated summa cum laude with his B.A. in Government & Politics from the University of Maryland, College Park.
