Dario Marino

Dario Marino is an Economic Policy Fellow at the Manhattan Institute, where he focuses on innovation, productivity, technology policy, and regulatory reform.

 

Previously, Marino was a research assistant at the University of Chicago’s Knowledge Lab and the Akcigit Research Team, where he conducted research on innovation measurement, patent novelty, and technological rivalry. He has also collaborated on international research projects with Philippe Aghion, Antonin Bergeaud, and Gianmarco Ottaviano.

 

He is the author of The Optimizers, an economics newsletter covering industrial policy, technological diffusion, and economic growth. Marino holds an M.A. in Computational Social Science (Economics) from the University of Chicago, an M.A. in Analysis and Policy in Economics from the Paris School of Economics, and a B.A. from the University of Bologna.
