Young Leaders Circle Forum with Judith Miller

14
Wednesday September 2011

Speakers

Judith Miller Adjunct Fellow, Manhattan Institute

September 11, 2001 is a day that will forever be remembered in our nation's history. In honor of the tenth anniversary of 9/11, the Young Leaders Circle was proud to host a forum on keeping our cities safe from future terrorist attacks.

Judith Miller, an adjunct fellow at the Manhattan Institute and a City Journal contributing editor discussed how urban counterterrorism has evolved over the past ten years on September 14. Miller's writings have focused on the Middle East, counterterrorism, and the need to strike a delicate balance between protecting both national security and American civil liberties in a post-9/11 world. Her most recent book, Germs: Biological Weapons and America's Secret War (Simon & Schuster, 2001) topped the bestseller list in the wake of 9/11 and the anthrax letter attacks.
