On Tuesday, March 14, the Manhattan Institute’s Center for Policing Terrorism (CPT) hosted an intimate breakfast for Amir Taheri. Mr. Taheri, who is an expert on Arabic affairs, has most recently been reporting on the relationship between radical Islam and terrorism, in prominent publications in Great Britain and in the United States.

At our breakfast, he will focus on the current nuclear confrontation between Iran and Western democracies and its implications for law enforcement in the United States. Following his remarks, R. P. Eddy, CPT’s senior fellow on counterterrorism and urban security, will lead the discussion.

Mr. Taheri authors a column for the New York Post and has been a contributor to the International Herald Tribune. He has also written for The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Newsday, and The Washington Post. He was a Middle East editor for the London Sunday Times and contributes to the daily Times, The Daily Telegraph, The Guardian, and many other major newspapers around the world. He is a commentator for CNN and is frequently interviewed by the BBC and other television networks. He has written several documentaries on Muslim issues and is winner of several journalistic awards.
