The past half century has produced dramatic change in American higher education. Herbert London has watched, first as dean of the Gallatin School of Individualized Study at NYU and later as president of the Hudson Institute, as classical liberal values have given way to moral relativism and ideological extremism. In two new books, Dr. London analyzes the devolution of standards in the American academy, and issues a call to revive the Western tradition of learning.
