In his new book Comeback, David Frum, a fellow at the American Enterprise Institute and former speechwriter for President George W. Bush, argues that the issues and themes that brought the Republican Party to power in the 1980s and ‘90s are no longer those that most concern Americans today. Frum asserts that American conservatives must offer new approaches to health care, the environment and the tax system in order to regain the confidence of the American electorate.
