Nominate a Nonprofit for Manhattan Institute’s 2020 Civil Society Awards
Four winners will each receive $25,000 this fall
NEW YORK, NY — Nominations are open for the Manhattan Institute’s 2020 Civil Society Awards, which honor nonprofit leaders who take it upon themselves to address or prevent social challenges and work toward a common purpose in their communities. These inspiring individuals and their organizations rely on philanthropy and volunteers—rather than government support—to empower the poor and disadvantaged, build caring relationships to support those in crisis, prepare the next generation to realize their full potential, restore and revitalize struggling neighborhoods, and much more.
This fall, four winners will each receive a $25,000 award for their efforts to keep our social fabric from fraying, assist those who need it most, and help people change the course of their lives. To nominate an outstanding nonprofit, please complete this short nomination form by March 20, 2020.
The Civil Society Awards were created by the Manhattan Institute to reinvigorate public understanding of America’s historically vibrant civil society, which plays an important role in improving our communities and contributing to the well-being of all Americans.
The 2019 winners were selected from more than 100 nominations of civil society organizations located in 56 cities across the United States. Nominees are evaluated by a selection committee composed of Manhattan Institute staff and external judges.
