Eric Adams Declared Next Mayor of NYC
NEW YORK, NY – Over the course of his mayoral campaign, Eric Adams spoke to the pragmatism of New York City’s working- and middle-class voters. His victory tonight points to the possibility of a new policy direction for the city, one that emphasizes the importance of economic growth, fiscal responsibility, educational opportunity, and – most of all – public safety. There’s no question that Gotham faces serious challenges. But the Manhattan Institute believes that New York City will not just bounce back, but has the potential to grow again, stronger and better than ever before. We look forward to working with the new Adams administration to make that dream a reality.
