The future of the United States’s energy economy is electricity, not oil. Therefore, it is imperative to find more sources of energy and efficient methods of transporting it around the country.

American Electric Power (AEP) is one of the nation’s largest generators of electricity and the owner of the nation’s largest electricity transmission systems. Leading AEP’s efforts is Chairman, President & CEO Mike Morris, who will come to the Manhattan Institute to discuss the electrification of America’s economy, the need for more diverse sources of energy, and the likely shape of energy policy under the new administration. His presentation will be followed by a discussion with Chief Executive magazine editor J. P. Donlon.
